Parking and Park and Ride

At Lotto Arena in Antwerp, you park for free at a Park and Ride and take the tram to the venue: on the day of the show, your ticket is your De Lijn fare. If you would rather drive up to the venue, there are four paid parking lots within walking distance. Lotto Arena and AFAS Dome share the site, the parking lots and the P+Rs, so this also applies if you are going to AFAS Dome.

Park and Ride: free parking, then the tram to the venue

At P+R Luchtbal, P+R Merksem and P+R Boechout, visitors of Lotto Arena and AFAS Dome park for free; P+R Olympiade costs € 1 per day. From every P+R, a tram runs to metro stop Sport, a 1-minute walk from the entrance.

If you park at Luchtbal or Merksem, scan the QR code at the info desk in the venue and enter your license plate before you leave the venue: that is what lets you exit for free. On the day of the show, your ticket is valid on De Lijn metro, tram and bus lines in the province of Antwerp, there and back, with no validation needed.

Paid parking lots near Lotto Arena and AFAS Dome

Four paid parking lots are within walking distance: Carrette, Spoor Oost, Antwerp Ring Center and Stuivenberg-EFFIA. You pay € 4 to € 8; some events have different rates.

Spoor Oost is only open for large events: check availability first at Smart Ways to Antwerp.

You can carpool via Slinger: share the ride and the parking costs with other visitors.

Kiss and ride: dropping someone off or picking them up

The kiss-and-ride zone is next to the Gabriël Theunis bridge, by the Albert Canal, right next to AFAS Dome; taxis also pick up there after the show. If you are picking someone up, be there at least 15 minutes before the show ends, so traffic keeps moving.

Parking for visitors with a disability

If you have a parking card for people with disabilities, you can reserve a space in the Vaart parking lot, on the site itself, no earlier than 2 weeks before the event, via the reservation form. Wheelchair users enter through entrance 14a on the left-hand side. If you would rather avoid the crowds around the venue, take a P+R: metro station Sport has elevators.

Low emission zone and street parking

AFAS Dome and Lotto Arena are just outside the low emission zone (LEZ), but most routes to the venue run through it, and Spoor Oost, Antwerp Ring Center and Stuivenberg-EFFIA are inside it: check beforehand at lez.antwerpen.be whether your car is allowed in.

Street parking around the venue is paid in two event zones, with mandatory registration and a 2-hour maximum around events; zones, rates and rules are in the Helpcenter.

Where is the best place to park?

Free and without traffic jams: at P+R Luchtbal or P+R Merksem, then 15 to 20 minutes by tram to metro stop Sport. If you want to drive up to the venue, Carrette and Spoor Oost are the closest paid parking lots.

How much does parking cost at AFAS Dome and Lotto Arena?

At the paid parking lots € 4 (Stuivenberg-EFFIA), € 6 (Spoor Oost) or € 8 (Carrette); at Antwerp Ring Center it depends on the event. At P+R Luchtbal, Merksem and Boechout you park for free, at P+R Olympiade for € 1 per day.

Can I reserve a parking space?

Yes, at P+R Luchtbal and P+R Merksem via parkeren.be. In the Vaart parking lot only with a parking card for people with disabilities.

Can I park in the Vaart parking lot as a visitor?

The Vaart parking lot has very few spaces and is not open to everyone. Choose a P+R or one of the four paid parking lots. With a parking card for people with disabilities, you can reserve a space there in advance.
